A Letter from Rev'd Martyn Weaver,
Vicar, The parish of All Saints, Bingley

    Dear Friends,

We recognise that the current times are unsettling for many, and as a community of Christ, All Saints, Bingley Parish Church is reaching out to support vulnerable parishioners and those who are self isolating through prayer and practical support.

ALL SAINTS CHURCH OPEN FOR PRIVATE PRAYER

Following guidance from the Archbishops of Canterbury and York, public worship is currently suspended (please ignore all calendar entries); however from Monday 15th June, we are able to have a limited re-opening of All Saints church for individual private prayer. We have put appropriate measures in place to ensure we can all follow social distancing guidelines, whilst being able to pray in church. This includes opening only part of the church building, instigating a one-way system, enhanced cleansing and providing hand sanitiser for all entering the building.

All Saints church will initially be open for individual private prayer at the following times:

    Mondays 9 – 11am

    Wednesdays 5 – 6.30pm

    Fridays 12 – 2pm

    Sundays 2 – 3pm

We will be closely monitoring this, and at an appropriate time, hope to open the church more.

    PRAYER and WORSHIP

Please note, that worship has not ceased. Please continue to pray at your normal church service times, so we can continue as a ‘virtual’ community. To aid you with this, please see the attached link to “Daily Morning Prayer”.

Please continue to join us for Live Streamed Holy Communion each Sunday at 10:30 am.

For those without internet access, The Church of England has launched a helpline. This offers a hymn, a daily reading and a prayer. It is a freephone number :- 0800 8048044

  • All Saints is the Parish Church of Bingley, a beautiful market town in West Yorkshire. It is an ancient church which has served the congregation and people of Bingley for over a thousand years. We continue in prayer and worship, in the breaking of bread, in baptisms, confirmations, marriages and funerals.   MORE...
